Horizontal Wishbone Bracket
In doing so you put the pressure of holding the axle under the truck on the stronger part of the joint, the housing. When the joint is vertical the pressure is on the bearing race. This causes premature failure of the bearing.
This also makes for a lower overall height bracket to get the seperation VS. a Heim mounted vertically. We made these out of .25" plate and made the bolt hole 5/8" so it can take the strain but for extreme use you should also gusset the bracket or tie your truss into it.
